I’m Published! My Article in Running Junction Magazine

Great news, I am now a regular writer for the quarterly magazine Running Junction! My segment is all about trail running, and I couldn’t be more excited. The magazine is funded by Junction 311 Endurance Sports. They create running events and take a portion of the proceeds and donate to various charities. They are a great organization that always supports a great cause! So if you would like to see my first officially published article, click here: My “Watershed” Moment

Please have a read and provide any feedback, I am always looking to improve what I do!

    1. That will be awesome, but first we have to get you that 100 mile buckle in a couple of weeks!!!

  1. Great article Joe, and food for thought. I’ve been fascinated by your journey and weight loss. I recognise the ‘before’ – and it’s genuinely had an effect on my attitude to what I am capable of. I’m nowhere near where I’d like to be but small changes in the right direction are a start. Thank you.

    1. Sam, first, thank you! Secondly, small changes is a great approach. Any nutrition and exercise plan is only good if a person can follow it. That’s why there is no “one size fits all” approach to this stuff. Some people are comfortable with major changes, some are not. So you have to work to find what works best for you. One common theme is people who do something they enjoy and find support groups, usually have higher success rates. So if you love walking, walk. If you love running, run! If small changes work for you, make small changes. Don’t be intimidated to try new things. When I started running at 330 pounds, I was scared and embarrassed. But I quickly saw that no one was noticing me, and in fact, most other runners were giving me encouragement. As always, let me know if I can help in any way, be kind to yourself, and keep at it! Peace. Joe
