This is an update on training for the Triple Lakes 40 Mile Race that I will be running in October of 2017. Two weeks left to go and then I start my taper. I discuss the plan and the challenges ahead for the next and last phase of training.

Another great VBlog Joe the runner. Yay Joe!!????? I really enjoyed it. As with everything you post, this was informative and affirming. It is good to know that well trained athletes like you feel tired and achy as you put in the mileaand work; I thought I being tired and having tired feet were because I wasn’t conditioned enough. Also, in that I generally don’t participate in circles that talk about such matters and I haven’t found articles which talk about the “mundane/small stuff” ( I don’t find such info mundane/small stuff), I had no idea that it was to be expected and a good sign that your training is going well. Also, thanks for talking about fuel/nutrition when one isn’t training as hard. I joke that even when I am not running my body (really my mind) is still as hungry as when I am running. And very soon comes those few extra pounds. Good to know…Joe the runner. Thank you for taking us/me along on your journey. Yay Joe!!!!???✌?
Thanks Rose! Yeah, getting tired and being hungry happens to ALL of us. It all comes down to recognizing the situation and then making adjustments accordingly. The more I train, the more I get to know my body, and what it needs and when it needs a break. It has been a fascinating journey so far, and I know I’ve got so much more to learn! Peace.
